I recently stayed at Pico Terramar & Spa and found it to be a beautiful hotel with spacious and elegant rooms. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast options and some of the staff's professionalism. Despite this, I enjoyed the relaxing spa experience and the convenient location near a large supermarket.

Rooms

My room was large, comfortable, and well-appointed with a fridge and coffee machine.
Service
8.0
While most of the staff were helpful, I encountered some receptionists who could have been more professional.
Location

The hotel is slightly outside of town but only a 15-minute walk to local attractions.
Dining

The restaurant had good food, but the limited non-seafood options and higher prices were a drawback.
Facilities

The indoor pool and hot tub were nice, though I wish the pool stayed open later than 8pm.

I had a great stay overall at Pico Terramar & Spa. The large, comfortable rooms and the warm, friendly staff made my time enjoyable. However, I was a bit let down by the breakfast options and the strong artificial scent in the hotel, which detracted from the spa-like vibe I expected.

Rooms
10.0
The Superior Double room was big and had a great view overlooking the water and pool. The comfortable bed and nice linens made my stay cozy.
Service
8.0
Most staff members were super helpful, but I noticed some receptionists could be a bit less professional and more welcoming.
Location
7.0
The hotel is slightly out of town, next to an industrial area, but I could easily walk to downtown in about 15 minutes.
Dining

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, with automatic machine coffee and concentrated juice. The fresh eggs were a nice touch, though. I found a fantastic local restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, but it’s popular, so make sure to book ahead!
Facilities

The hotel has some nice amenities, but the sauna and steam room were out of order during my stay, which was a bummer.

7.2/10

I recently stayed at Pico Terramar & Spa for two nights, and while the hotel had some great aspects, it wasn't without its issues. The views from my room were fantastic, and the bed was super comfortable. However, I noticed some problems like the artificial fragrance throughout the hotel and underwhelming dining options.

Rooms
7.0
My superior room was huge, with a lovely view of the water and pool. The comfortable bed and clean linens made my stay enjoyable. I appreciated the modern amenities, like USB outlets, but the overall vibe felt a bit more like an affordable hotel than a luxury spa experience.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally accommodating and kind, which added a nice touch to my stay. However, I did experience some inconsistency, like the housekeeping not replenishing water or coffee on my second day.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was a bit surprising, situated next to an industrial estate. While it took me about 15 minutes to walk into town, it felt a little isolated. There was a nice local restaurant nearby that I recommend checking out.
Dining
6.0
I had lunch at the hotel restaurant, but unfortunately, the fish tasted a bit old and wasn't impressive. Breakfast was also disappointing, with machine-dispensed coffee and juice, although fresh eggs were available on request.
Facilities
6.0
I liked that the hotel had modern conveniences like a sauna and steam room, but they were out of action during my visit. Additionally, I heard the breakfast area could use fresh produce and better coffee options.

I had a really nice stay at Pico Terramar & Spa. My room was large and comfortable, and I enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, although they closed at 8 PM. However, I found the restaurant a bit overpriced and lacking in non-seafood options, even if the food was good and the atmosphere was elegant.

Rooms
10.0
The superior double room I stayed in was huge and offered a fantastic view of the water and pool. The bed was super comfortable, and the linens felt plush.
Service

The staff were incredibly helpful and always went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant.
Location

The hotel's location was great, just a short walk into Madalena, which made exploring really easy.
Dining
6.0
The hotel restaurant's menu was a bit lacking, especially for non-seafood lovers, and the prices felt steep for what was offered.
Facilities

I loved the indoor pool and hot tub, but it would've been nice if they stayed open later than 8 PM.

My stay at Pico Terramar & Spa was generally enjoyable, with fantastic spacious rooms and a lovely sea view from my balcony. The indoor and outdoor pools were impressive, but I was let down by the dining options, particularly the hotel restaurant, which didn’t meet my expectations. Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful, but some amenities were not operational during my visit.

Most of the staff were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They even assisted with car rentals and airport shuttles.
Location
